Luke Bauer

Luke has been crafting baskets since 2013. With a deep interest in the ancestral connection between plants and people, you can find him wandering the woods and fields in search of partners for his craft. He apprentices himself to the native and migrant plants of the Mid-Atlantic—uncovering processes to transform materials from living landscapes to living baskets. He hopes to offer visual, tactile and practical connections for people that instill a sense of value in all the characters of our local ecology.
