Liz Goins

Paper Arts

Liz is a paper artist who loves all things paper! To touch, to cut, and to fold so the paper will become something other than its original purpose, this is her goal.

“My work ebbs and flows with experimentation using vintage books, old music sheets, and handmade paper. The tools of my trade are scissors, x-acto knife, needle and thread. I have an innate desire to create art from a historical perspective. A few examples are altered books, papercutting, Chinese sewing boxes, and paste paper.

My Charles Town studio is where I bring new ideas I’ve gained from taking and teaching workshops that merge into my work”.

Liz is always searching and pushing the limits of her medium using contradictory methods in making her art.
