Grab that nearly empty calendar and mark Saturday, June 12 (9am-6pm) as a day of fun, creativity and exploration for the whole family.
The Studio Tour will emerge from its 2020 Covid hiatus and partner with the Shenandoah Planing Mill to host Summertime at the Mill, an all day community festival. We’re bringing together artisans, musicians, fascinating tours, a nature journaling workshop, demos of all types, adoptable dogs, those fun food trucks and so much more. And it’s all happening inside and outside the Planing Mill’s 40,000 sq. ft. operation just off Summit Point Road at 471 Cold Storage Road, Charles Town.
While the Studio Tour artisans haven’t been showing and selling, they’ve kept their sanity by making. As dancer and choreographer Twyla Tharp says “Art is the only way to run away without leaving home.” You’ll be the beneficiary of all this creativity by seeing the work you already love coupled with new and exciting artistic explorations.
